While at the Center for Justice Innovation, this team (alongside some additional colleagues) completed an 18-month participatory action research study of the social, cultural, and structural causes of gun-carrying for Crown Heights, Brooklyn youth 16-24. Part of a four-city study funded by the National Collaborative on Gun Violence Research, the team conducted more than 100 one-on-one interviews with youth during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
